The adventures of a 101 year old man are wilder than in the previous book, so expect a lot of unreal situations. The character of Allan has got a slight revamp, now, instead of the lucky, a bit daft unnaturally old man he's a wisecracker, an SJW, if you like. The fact that in the book there's no real conflict and Allan isn't once challenged morally by his peers or anyone, really, adds to the blandness of the book.As you read the book, you'll notice that it isn't an adventure book sprinkled with historical events, but a one-sided political commentary with the author's own ideas set as the only right way. Every political figure, who's in this book can be described with half a sentence. When I started reading this book, I expected a journey with the above mentioned, really a bit retarded (?) old guy, but the journey got fragmented and felt rushed in between the generalised "truths" pushed down your throat.On the positive side, some parts of the adventure, e.g. the swedish casket-businness and the african asparagus-plant were hilarious, so that's why I gave this book three stars. Pretty average, not the excellent funny book the first one was.

If you expect anything like the original book, you'll be disappointed. While the first book was original and fun read, this one feels like the author just wanted to make a bit of extra $$ squeezing the same old lemon.Didn't even bother to finish it. Total waste of money.

I thought the first books was the craziest thing I had ever read. When I checked Amazon to see what else the author had written, I found a sequel to the first book had just been published. I did not like his description of Donald Trump, so I've stopped reading it for now. But I will finish it just to enjoy more craziness. I gave my copy of the first book to my daughter and will circulate it through the family.

The book is really up to date in world politics, really funny and entertaining. Recommended for all news freaks of the world 😀 and the perfect holiday book.

It's not quite as good as his first adventure but it was an enjoyable humorous read. Happily Trump doesn't read or Sweden would be in trouble. It's, also, interesting to get a world view from a different country and see that we view the world the same. Hope the author will keep taking this senior on further journeys.

Funny. Smart. A few serious thoughts to keep in the back of your mind - eg the disconcerting last page. Give us more - Hundred and two year old man.

This is a sequel to “The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed out the Window and Disappeared.” It is just as much fun to read. This book is current with current world leaders. Need I say more?

It's a decent read, but nothing like the original witty humor from before.

I read about 90% of this book for my course in physical polymer science. I didn't read the last couple of chapters. This book was a good introduction to the subject. I learned alot about physical polymer science simply from reading this text.

I love science and this book helps feed my need for more advanced info

This book is poorly written, lacking in information, and what information it does contain is roughly edited; there are errors throughout. I bought this book strictly for a class and used it almost only for the questions at the end of each chapter.

Sperling's book stands out as the most useful polymer science text, compiling essential elements of varied physical properties and behaviour. The third edition has up to date material on all aspects of polymer physics including chapters on polymer surfaces and interfaces as well as on multicomponent polymer systems and liquid crystalline polymers. In my opinion, as a beginners guide, the book is definitely outscores over all other texts in market including Billmeyer, Painter Coleman, Rodriquez, etc. The book also contains a good description of various polymer characterization techniques.The material covered is adequate to provide basic information about each field in polymer physics, and the textbook has enough material to be useful for two or three courses. The author presents a lot of tables in the book, that succintly summarize important points related to that topic. Coupled with Strobl's book, which has slightly advanced description of polymer physics, and Doi's Introduction to polymer physics, which has mathematically intensive description of statistical mechanics of polymers, you have three texts to teach you essentially everything there is to know in Polymer Physics!! (Perhaps you can add a text for Polymer Rheology, say by Larson!)

Like most textbooks, its verbose and hard to read at times. However, if one were to study polymers for more than just a course, it makes a handy reference tool unlike any other I or my friends have come across. Having this book for other courses would have been worth paying full price (but you don't have to) and I only wish I had come across it earlier.

This book introduced me to physical polymer science. I have a strong interest in this field. The book is very informative but not easy to read. However, it is very helpful that key points in the chapters are depicted quite nicely by diagrams and graphs.

I don't and won't read this book unless we are not going to take an exam on this field. (Basically because our professor recommended that the exam we are taking is based on this book.) But only one chapter from it.I haven't read other chapters but only chapter 9. And I am so disappointed!The mathematical deriving process are rough, and things like they are coming from nowhere. Sometimes the author made mistakes even when he was doing derivatives. Paradox are everywhere. The examples given uses the equation which lost a 1/2 factor from the formula given previously. And I have no idea which one is right or wrong. I think Prof Sperling is too busy to check the typos? I have just read 15 pages and the typos are at least 20 of them. I am so disappointed that this book is going to be a textbook for college students. I am afraid the students will hate this field after they used this as the textbook!I just cannot imagine how he can be a professor in Lehigh Univ and publish papers every year. Looking at the book he composed, is a nightmare. Hope he could be retired soon so he can safe some Ph.D's academic career.

How can you call it a "secret" to recommend the Sunday antiques market in San Telmo?!? Very little in this book that you won't find in the standard guidebooks. Some of the odd English phrasing seems to be straight out of Google Translate. (The following excerpt is from a review of an ice cream chain: "In all initiatives, Freddo acts on three fronts: Craftsmanship, Argentina and Dulce de Leche (the number of flavors based on this icon of Argentine cuisine, seven beyond the traditional, doesn't deny the origin of the brand).") Portions of the various sections are clearly lifted straight from other sources (the section on Tigre, which suggests "enjoy leisure time to explore the port on your own and have lunch at a local eatery (own expense)" obviously came straight out of a tour itinerary), including marketing materials for the establishment in question (see the blurb on the vegetarian restaurant). All in all, not worth your time or money.

Buenos Aires is a beautiful city with rustic glamour. I love to see it when I visit Argentina soon. Reading a book such as this excites me because I do not want to go where the tourist go. I want to be in the city and live like a local even for a week or for a month. That way, I can see the city and the sorrounding towns in a different way. Not a touristy thing to do and this book made me see that it is doable.

We planned to spend three days in Buenos Aries -- plans changed and will now be there only 30 hours before leaving on a cruise.This was a good summary of things to do -- very few "secrets" -- all were covered in my copy of Top 10 Buenos Aires (Eyewitness Top 10 Travel Guide), which I just purchased.Personally, I would go with Eyewitness - we really like the photographs and the substance is broader.Robert C. Looks like a pretty decent book but you wont be able to see any diagrams or figures. They wont render. To illustrate complex ideas you really need them, thus, very hard to enjoy the book. I attached a picture of what it looks like on my iphone, ipad, and kindle paperwhite.

This book is excellent at teaching ANTLR, I only wish the author had re-ordered some of the chapters to teach you critical concepts first. Much of this book feels like an extremely long sales pitch instead of actually trying to teach you something.In chapter four the author is showing a lot of cool things that ANTLR can do for you, and the grammars that help accomplish that. However, he does not officially teach you how to write a grammar until chapter five. Chapter six shows you how you could use ANTLR to parse existing syntaxes, but it does not really teach you anything new. I wish the author had condensed his sales pitch to five pages or less, instead of dedicating whole chapters to it. In other words, I would have put chapters four and six somewhere farther back in the book, and focused on really teaching you the syntax of ANTLR grammars, and how to use its features.Despite that, the book did a great job of explaining how to write ANTLR grammars and use them in your code. All of the online documentation I found on ANTLR was horrible, trying to get by without this book is crazy. Along the way, I came to love ANTLR as a tool, since it could save me a ton of development time, and since it supports so many great features. It's just a really powerful tool by itself.I would highly recommend this book to anybody.

I have no formal training in computer science but have been mucking with them since core memory times. This book is a joy to read (I am slow and had to read it a couple times.) The language is immensely powerful but very easy to use. I was able to translate the book java to C# easily and write a solution that I needed by sundown without knowing anything about lexing or parsing till I got to page 13 early one morning. On page 14 I learned that "you can't put too much water into a nuclear reactor." The co-author Sam Harwell has done the C# translation and the Visual Studio bits. Also look at antlrworks2 tool. It is amazing that something so powerful is free. After reading this, I bought the author's other popular book: "Language implementation patterns" and learned a lot more. There is a large public domain library of ANTLR4 grammars for a host of situations so you may not need to start from scratch. If you are trying to write code to parse stuff, stop playing with RegEx's and learn this.

I hadn't really worked with parser tools in over 20 years, and the last time I used Lex/Yacc it was painful enough that I just hand coded my parser.It turns out that Terence Parr seemed to have a similar experience, and decided to do something about it. ANTLR4 is an amazingly powerful tool for parsing. The reference is a great place to start to develop your own *.g4 ANTLR grammar file.I found getting a parser using ParseTreeListeners was pretty easily accomplished, and the resulting JAVA code can be given to other non parser folks (the Listener code you write... not the auto generated stuff). In the past I always found anything associated with lexx/yacc/bison was too convoluted to explain to anyone. But ANTLR4 care and feeding is human managable.The one issue I have with the language deals with large HUGE files which consume too much memory. I'm trying to figure a way to use parse tree listeners and "dump" the parse tree periodically. The solutions for large files currently appear to require you use grammar actions, which are great, and easier to develop than the parse tree listeners... but ANTLR4's advantage over ANTLR3 is that you don't have to put any parser actions into the grammar... I find that a bonus, but that seems to limit processing for large files.

This book is a definite purchase if you want to get into ANTLR4 quickly, or if you aren't very experienced working with lexer/parsers. The content is well written, and goes into much more depth than what you get from the ANTLR documentation online. It has definitely helped me get up and running in a very short period of time.There is just one shortcoming in this book: it is very difficult to find exactly the information you're looking for.- Want to know how to import grammars? Well that's clearly under the "Matching an Arithmetic Expression Language" section of Chapter 4: A Quick Tour.- Want to split a lexer and parser into separate files? I know I read that *somewhere* in this book, but now I can't find it. Let's turn to the index and look up "options", but there's no entry for "options" in the index. Ok, found it under the "Grammar" index heading.Maybe I'm nitpicking, but when I'm buying a Capital-D Capital-R Definitive Reference of anything, I'm expecting to be able to navigate easily to the information that I need quickly. This book suffers shortcomings in these three things:1) The book needs a more detailed table of contents that includes section subheadings, which is where all the useful detail headings exist.2) The book needs a better cross-referenced index. Put an "O -> Options -> See Grammar Options" so that new readers aren't penalized for not yet having a firm grasp of a new vocabulary they're trying to learn. Good indexes are actually a helpful learning tool.3) The Reference portion of the book could use it's own TOC, or a cheat-sheet with corresponding page reference within the book. Often, you forget the exact thing you're looking for, and seeing a grouped list of keywords is helpful when you're trying to get something to jump out at you and jog your memory.As a result of these shortcomings, I'm more frequently turning to Google to find what I'm looking for because this book makes you work hard to find what part of the reference has the references you need to refer to. I would say that this is a flaw in any reference book, not a feature.

The book itself is good so far, practical and applicable. I am mainly writing this review to warn students not to bother buying this book new. I read that it came with a disc, and that I should buy it new or the disc may be used or missing. The included disc is just a 60 day trial of MS Project, not even enough to get through the semester. Whether your book comes with the disc or not you will still have to figure out another way to get the program.

NOT THE SAME as the 6th edition in US. There is a page at the front that describes the differences. The cases have all been changed to India specific ones. The body of the text seems similar with explanations about the concepts, but page numbers will be significantly different from US 6th edition. Also, the top of the pages do not list what chapter you are reading, making cross referencing or flipping to a section challenging. The paper is also very thin and not good for highlighting as it will bleed through. I have both books side by side.

As others have stated, this is a good overview for a survey level course in PM. It is repetitive, but I think that is understandable in a survey course textbook of this nature. I agree that the scenarios are a little out of date; for the cost of the sixth edition, these could have been updated. It is certainly easy to understand, but I wouldn't have pegged this as a graduate level text. If you don't need this as a requirement for a course, I wouldn't buy this as a self-study guide. It's far too expensive for an overview. As far as readability, it's an easy read for an introductory level course.

This book was a semi easy read (until the last few chapters), I think it would be more enjoyable in a classroom setting, I read the book for an online course and at times was rather hard to follow. I would not suggest this book unless you were taking a class on Project Management and this book was required. I'm certain their are much easier books to follow if you are doing self-study.

I'm only on Chapter 5, but I have cut off pages 263-276 (so far). Not good!Missed return deadline because I didn’t discover the issue in time. No one offered any type of restitution.

Content is really useful, but be careful, I got the Indian version. By the way, the is no significant difference between the International and Indian Version. So, don't care.

I purchased this book thinking it was the original version because the description did not stipulate otherwise, but instead realized once I started reading it that it was the Indian version so none of the case studies were applicable to my course. It would be nice if the seller would make it clear in the description that this is an international version for Indian companies. I wish I could return it, but it's too late now.

Really well written and east to follow. Lots of great case studies and highlights. Too bad page the sentence at the bottom of Page 574 is never finished. The facing page is Page 607. Not sure where the missing pages went. LOL. But, its a really good book overall. (paperback version)

As the book title says, this is pretty much the best set of Broadway songs! from show stopping numbers to the old favorites you know and love, this book has it all. a supersize i wasn't expecting though. this book also has guitar tabs for the songs as well! you can play these tunes on mutable instruments and can learn guitar all at the same time!

This is a great book for piano players like me that aren't great, but still trying/learning. The scores are fairly simple but still give you a good melody to play; I really enjoy playing this book.

There was nothing I disliked about this volume. As the title says, It is the best songs Broadway ever had! If you are a musician, as I am, you won't be able to stop playing! If you are not a musician, you will be tappin' your feet, singin' a song, and keepin' the beat as the music is playin'! For musicians and music lovers this book is a definite must have!

Everything's Great On Broadway! Another great music book to go with my other one. I can only imagine the stars playing their parts on stage with this music being played by an orchestra but it sounds ok on my keyboard also.

Bought for my daughter as a Christmas present since it was on her wish list. She has two music degrees and teaches voice in her home. She swears this is the most comprehensive Broadway collection around, and she was thrilled to get it.

This book has nice arrangements of many of Broadway's greatest, most memorable tunes--from "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning" to "Evita" to "Sunrise, Sunset." The level is such that I can whip these pieces into shape in a reasonable amount of time. I like the book so much that when I thought I'd lost it, I bought another one.

The book's so darned big that it keeps flopping over on my keyboard, and even when it's upright it's near-impossible to turn the pages. Why don't they make these things with spiral binding? I do like the music and the arrangements. They seem tailored to an early intermediate like me.

Another Christmas present for my 13 year old grandson. He loves acting in the local children's theater troop and he plays piano quite well, so this hit all the spots for him. I think he'll enjoy it for years to come.
